Research Interests:

  • Focus of current research is on biological and genomic impact of decolorization and removal of recalcitrant dyes and xenobiotics from wastewaters using oxidative enzymatic systems.
  • Determination of mode of binding and DNA interaction studies by spectroscopy methods, fluorescent techniques and different electrophoresis methods.
  • Purification and characterisation of plant peroxidase from Horseradish peroxidase, Soybean and Sweet Potato.
  • Applicability in decolorization and degradation of xenobiotics in wastewater with emphasis on studying interaction and genotoxic effects of progressive DNA damaging by basic and modified comet assay.
